About Billings

Montana’s largest city, Billings sits along the iconic Yellowstone River at the transition point where the Great Plains meet the Rocky Mountains. Downtown Billings offers great shopping, dining, art galleries and museums and is well-known for its Billings Brew Trail, Montana’s only walkable brewery trail featuring six breweries, two distilleries and a cider house. Billings serves as the gateway to several other nearby attractions. Pompey’s Pillar National Monument is just to the east along I-94. The Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument is approximately one hour to the southeast along I-90. The entrance to the world-famous Beartooth Highway is approximately an hour to the southwest, which leads to Yellowstone National Park, which is approximately three hours away. Ample opportunities to hike, bike, ride horses along the trail or cast a line in one of Montana’s blue-ribbon trout streams can also be found within Billings and the surrounding region.
